SoCal Wins It In A Crazy 15 Inning Marathon!

Santiago had the deciding hit that scored the winning run in the 15th inning.

This game was all about Bullpen as they kept a run from scoring for 9 innings.

The SoCal Wildfires and the Tinley Redbirds locked up in an exciting one-run
game at Camden Yards.  The final score was the SoCal Wildfires 5, the Tinley
Redbirds 4 in 15 innings.
 
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings.  SoCal came out on top
in the 15th inning.  Paul Konerko banged out a single.  Mike Stanton was next
and he delivered a base-hit.  Sam Fuld got his chance to keep things going,
but he went down on strikes.  Edwin Encarnacion got his turn next, but he was
a strikeout victim.  Ramon Santiago came to the plate and delivered a
one-base hit resulting in an exciting win for SoCal and a raucous post-game
celebration by the home town fans.  SoCal had 18 hits overall, while Tinley
had 13.  
 
The winning pitcher was Cory Wade(1-0) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Jose
Veras(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief.  Despite losing, he struckout 4
SoCal batters in 1 and 2/3 innings.
